Coach
Ricardo has been coaching for over 30 years. In addition to coaching club level soccer, he was also the coach of the Archbishop Murphy HS team. While he was there, the team(s) had an amazing run of six years, finishing 3rd three times and making it to the state final three times. They eventually captured the school’s first state championship in girls’ soccer in 2006.
Growing up in the greater Kent area Ricardo went to school at the University of Washington where he met his wife, Katie. Together, they have a daughter and a son. Both kids played with Washington Rush.
As a player, Ricardo’s career began in the youth leagues and continued after college in the men's adult leagues. He was introduced to coaching by a friend that needed help with a boys’ team and has continued to stay involved in the game. Ricardo holds a USSF “C” License and the NSCAA Director of Coaching badge.
Ricardo’s favorite team is the Sounders, and he enjoys attending the games with his family.
