Below are volunteer roles that are needed throughout the season. Additional volunteer opportunities will be communicated via email.
Team Manager:
• Managers must complete SafeSport and Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments online training and submit a background check
• Primary role is communicating to the team, including but not limited to sharing the practice schedule, game schedule, and tournament information
• Make sure all players are registered
• Responsible for required items at games, including player cards and rosters
• Responsible for tournament registration and tournament check in
• Reschedule league games when there is coach conflict or request from opponent
• Communicate home game details to the opponent
• Communicate home and away game details to team
• May assist in determining team budget
• This role fulfills the volunteer hour requirement; the $160 fee charged at registration would be refunded
Team Treasurer:
• Treasurers must complete SafeSport and Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments online training and submit a background check
• Helps determine team budget, working with manager and coach
• Collects payments from players based on the schedule communicated in the budget
• Works with manager to pay tournament fees
• This role fulfills the volunteer hour requirement; the $160 fee charged at registration would be refunded
Raffle Representative:
• Receives team raffle tickets from club administrator
• Distributes ticket books to families
• Receives money from sold tickets and receives unsold tickets to return to club administrator PRIOR TO THE ESTABLISHED DEADLINE
• This role fulfills the volunteer hour requirement; the $160 fee charged at registration would be refunded
Club Tent:
• Responsible for getting the team tent to and from games, as well as tent set up and take down.
• Requires a large vehicle.
• This role fulfills the volunteer hour requirement; the $160 fee charged at registration would be refunded.
Team Bench:
• Responsible for getting the team bench to and from games.
• This role does NOT fulfill any volunteer hour requirement.
AGM Representative:
• Serve as team representative for the annual Board of Directors election.
• Distribute candidate profiles to the team, collect team feedback, and cast the team vote at the AGM meeting.
• Votes can by cast by proxy; attendance at the meeting fulfills one volunteer hour; $40 of the $160 charged at registration would be refunded.
Rush Cup:
• Help at Rush Cup as needed. Opportunities include event set up, event tear down, parking lot assistance, apparel tent assistance, and many other activities that may arise.
• This role fulfills the volunteer hour requirement on an hour-for-hour basis. For each hour worked, one hour will be refunded, up to a maximum of four hours.
