The Washington Rush Junior Academy is designed for young boys and girls who are ready to experience soccer in our highly popular development program. Junior Academy is a place for players who are new to organized soccer, as well as the player who is ready to take the next step into a more competitive, yet fun environment. This program is for players who are not currently participating on a Washington Rush team. Players participate in a combination of training sessions and games (4v4 or 7v7).

Time: BOYS - 4:30-5:30 GIRLS - 5:40-6:40

Who: Boys and Girls not currently participating on a Washington Rush team.
Staffing: Junior Academy sessions will be led by Washington Rush coaches. Space is limited for ideal coach to player ratio.
Players are given a Junior Academy shirt at no cost when they join our program.
There are no tryouts – all players are placed on a Rush Junior Academy team. We do take into consideration age and individual skill level. Initial teams will be formed prior to our first session and we will make adjustments after the first training session if needed.

Yes! We encourage teams playing in the North County and US Club spring leagues to sign up.
Yes. Due to the age and desire to have a proper player to coach ratio, we limit the number of accepted players. This program fills up quickly, so be sure to register early! If the session you would like to sign up for is full, please make sure to sign up on our waitlist and we will contact you if space becomes available.
All players will receive a Rush Junior Academy shirt to be worn to training and games. Players are responsible for providing their own shorts, socks and shin guards and soccer cleats. Players should bring a size four ball and water bottle to trainings.
Confirmation emails will be sent once you are registered to the Junior Academy. A more detailed email will be sent out in the week prior to the program start date.
YES! Kasch Park weather can be very unpredictable - please make sure that your player dresses appropriately. As the weather conditions vary throughout the year, know that it is fine for players to wear sweatshirts and coats over their Junior Academy jersey.
